The SPOONFUL Tray is a study in form and suggestion, integrating spoon-like impressions directly into its surface. I designed this piece in collaboration with Pinch Food Design to blur the lines between dinnerware and sculpture, focusing on how people move around a table. The debossed shapes create a small nook for hors d’oeuvres or a place to pipe a sauce along the handle, guiding each bite.
Each cavity becomes both a vessel and a gesture. It invites guests to scoop from the surface without the need for traditional utensils, rethinking the way an evening begins. Handcrafted with care in San Francisco from food-safe, lead-free resin, each tray is hand-cast and hand-finished with a smooth matte texture. Available in White and Fog.
