A Different Path
During my years in finance, I was living a very different version of myself—focused on job titles, salary, a nice car, and the traditional markers of success that society often highlights. My opportunity to step away came when one of the last smaller startups I worked for had a modest exit, providing me with the financial freedom to pause and reflect. Even before that, I had begun questioning my happiness in finance. I recall being promoted to a new role that, while technically a step up, felt hollow and left me wondering if this was truly the life I wanted to lead.
Why Bowls?
When I decided to shift into design, I looked around my home and noticed that bowls were the item I owned and used most frequently. They are incredibly versatile—perfect for holding fresh fruits and vegetables from the farmers market, serving salads I love, or presenting dishes to guests at dinner parties. Bowls felt like a natural and intuitive place to start my creative journey.
The First Bowl
My first resin bowl began as a clay sculpture. The process of shaping clay was deeply satisfying—I loved visualizing the final form in my mind and then bringing it to life as a tangible object. There’s a unique joy when the finished piece perfectly matches your vision.
What sets my process apart is that, although the final resin bowl has a handmade, organic look, many assume it’s sculpted directly in resin. In truth, every piece starts as an original clay sculpture, which is then used to create a mold. From that mold, the bowl is hand-cast and hand-finished in resin. This clay-to-mold-to-resin method gives each bowl its distinctive character and charm.
From SCULPT to HALO to BUBBLE
The earliest bowls were the "SCULPT" collection—simple, functional shapes prioritizing usability over elaborate design. They were straightforward and practical. Over time, I explored more imaginative silhouettes that remained fully functional while becoming increasingly sculptural. This evolution led to collections like HALO, with its soft, halo-like edges, and BUBBLE, featuring playful, organic curves. These collections balance everyday utility with artistic expression.
Bowls Embody the Core of My Design Philosophy
Bowls represent the heart of my design philosophy: crafting timeless, functional objects that bring joy and calm to daily life. People use them for similar reasons—holding abundant produce, serving meals to guests, acting as a catch-all on a table, or simply standing as decorative or sculptural pieces. Their versatility and universal appeal keep them central to the brand.
How Customers Use Their Bowls
I love hearing how customers collect these bowls and use them during gatherings with loved ones, turning meals into festive, shared experiences. It’s wonderful to know they enhance meaningful moments with family and friends. Beyond traditional serving, these bowls find places throughout the home in surprising and delightful ways.
Why Resin?
Our food-safe, lead-free, BPA-free resin is more durable than glass, ceramic, or porcelain, and unlike wood, it’s non-porous. This makes the bowls easy to clean and ideal for outdoor use—whether by the pool, in the garden, or even in bathrooms and spas—while maintaining their beauty and functionality over time. The material also allows for the organic, sculptural forms I envision, providing the durability needed for everyday use.
Finance Meets Design
My background in finance gave me a solid foundation in numbers, budgeting, and business operations. This experience enables me to manage the operational side of the company almost on autopilot, freeing my mental space and time to focus purely on creativity and designing new collections without getting bogged down in spreadsheets. In many ways, those finance years became the foundation supporting the creative freedom I enjoy today.

Reflecting on my transition from finance to hand-sculpting my first bowl, the advice I would offer to anyone considering a major career change is simple: pursue what you truly love, what resonates deeply within your heart. Trust yourself to follow your dreams without being held back by fear of failure, worries about success, or others’ opinions. It’s not always easy—it requires hard work and perseverance—but it’s incredibly rewarding to spend your life doing something that fulfills your soul.
